About The Position

School Nutrition Staff: Substitute(Part-Time) Do you want to make a positive difference for children and our community? Do you love feeding kids nutritious delicious foods? Staunton City Schools is seeking temporary School Nutrition Service Workers. We are looking to hire workers to help on an as needed basis, therefore hours and days will vary based on business needs. Some on-call, just-in-time work could be required, therefore schedule flexibility is necessary. Some evening hours may be required. Responsibilities include safe food handling and food prep, cleaning and sanitation, serving food to the students, following local, state and federal guidelines, and other duties as assigned. Food service experience helpful, but not required, other relative experience will be considered.

Requirements

• Will be required to successfully complete an approved sanitation and safety course
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must pass a criminal background check
