About The Position

Join our team as a vital member in our bustling food service operation! As a key player, you will assist in food preparation, efficiently handle cash registers and POS systems, and maintain a pristine kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will also involve serving students and staff, managing daily deposits in accordance with our revenue policy, and ensuring seamless inventory control. Requirements

  • Demonstrated aptitude for the successful performance of the task listed.
  • Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with food service staff, faculty, and students; to communicate with food service staff, faculty, and students; must understand and learn all safety and sanitation regulations pertaining to food service; ability to lift/carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of previous food service experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food service equipment and of institutional meal preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help with food preparation as needed
  • Support daily program operations including operating the cash register, POS computer, washing pots, cleaning tables, using the dish machine, and serving students and staff during meal distribution.
  • Aid in handling daily deposits while adhering to the Framingham School Nutrition Revenue Policy.
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and cafeteria.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager or the Director of School Nutrition
