The Rivers School — a 6-12 co-ed independent day school in Weston, MA, just outside Boston — seeks professionals who are looking to join a dynamic, innovative, and welcoming school community. The School Nurse is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Health Office, ensuring a safe, organized, and responsive environment while delivering student health services. This role provides direct student care and oversees Health Office operations, maintaining a well-functioning and student-centered clinical space. The School Nurse manages student health needs, maintains accurate and compliant health records, and collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and families to support student well-being and promote a safe and healthy learning environment. This position reports to the Lead School Nurse and plays a key role in implementing health policies, supporting school-wide initiatives, and responding to both routine and emergent health concerns. The School Nurse partners closely with the Lead School Nurse, who oversees program-wide care coordination and strategic planning. The role is typically performed during regular school hours, with occasional flexibility required for staggered coverage, special events, and school-related travel (e.g., field trips or overnight programs).This is a 12 month position- serving as a nurse when school is in session from the end of August through the beginning of June. Then transitioning to be the summer camp nurse from mid-June through mid-August. During the academic school year, hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. During the summer camp schedule, hours are Monday through Friday, 8-4pm In addition to health and wellness benefits, this position includes a generous tuition remission for Camp Nonesuch and the RSC Summer Programs. Additionally, tuition remission for The Rivers School may be available for qualified applicants for the 2027/2028 school year.
