About The Position

The Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating close to 200 students who present with special education needs. These students may have learning, emotional and/or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. The Bradley School offers each student a different kind of academic experience and a renewed chance at success. Our experienced staff and our dedication to enhancing the lives of every child we serve are the building blocks of education at the Bradley School. In addition, our classrooms include state-of-the-art resources that are specifically designed to serve the needs of the students. We are currently seeking a School Nurse who will promote and protect the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff within the school community. This position provides direct healthcare services, ensures compliance with state and federal health regulations and fosters a safe and healthy school environment. Through collaboration with families, educators, and health care providers, the School Nurse works to reduce health-related barriers to learning and supports students’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs so they can achieve their full academic potential.

Requirements

  • Professional demeanor and sound judgement
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with other disciplines
  • Sound medical practices
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (RN) required
  • License to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years working with students with emotional, behavioral, learning challenges preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all medication administration/disposal and documentation
  • Oversee medication administration procedures
  • Complete all school health mandatory screenings
  • Create individual care plans
  • Provide school health education to staff and students as appropriate
