About The Position

Under general supervision of the District nurse and administration to provide a variety of specialized healthcare services for students who are health impaired and/or have specialized health care needs; to administer first aid to students and staff members; to maintain health service information and records; and to do related work as required. It is the policy of this District that employment will be offered to the successful candidate contingent upon satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug/alcohol-screening test and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray. Requirements

• Two (2) years of college course work in nursing, physiology or related field
• two (2) years of nursing experience
• any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities
• Willing to take additional training to treat the specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction
• Current California registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse
• First Aid/CPR Certificate
• Resume
• 1 Letter of Recommendation Required (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer)
• Certificate Copy: California Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse
• CPR/First Aid Certification
