Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state (BSN preferred).
Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, public health, or a school setting.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (BLS).
Strong organizational skills, proficiency in health-tracking software, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to move quickly across a K-12 campus.
Ability to lift or assist students as needed (up to 40 lbs).
Sufficient vision and hearing to perform physical assessments.
All employees must commit to performing their duties in accordance with the stated mission and purpose of the school, CPA 101, CPA Policies and Procedures Manual, and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
All employees must be evangelical Christians and active members of an evangelical Christian church.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies).
Administer medications in strict accordance with state laws and school policy.
Maintain accurate, confidential electronic health records for all students.
Monitor and enforce immunization compliance and reporting in alignment with school policy.
Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
Act as a resource for teachers and staff regarding student health issues and infectious disease control.
Promote healthy lifestyle choices through education on nutrition, hygiene, and mental wellness.
Assist in developing school-wide safety and emergency response protocols as needed.
Serve as the primary liaison between the school, parents, and healthcare providers.
Communicate with empathy and clarity regarding student illnesses or injuries.
Collaborate with the school counseling team to support the "whole child," recognizing the link between physical health and emotional well-being.
