Join #TeamWake as a School Health Nurse! The Wake County Health and Human Services School Health Program provides School Health Services for 199 Wake County Public Schools. Each school nurses serves 2 schools which may be any combination of preschool, elementary, middle, and/or high schools. Nurses spend 2 days a week at one school and 3 days a week at the other school. School nurses work 8-hour days Monday through Friday and must be present in assigned schools during regular school hours. Please note that this is a 10-month (part-time/.833 FTE) School Health Nurse position. This position will work from August 16 through June 15 and have June 16 through August 15 off. While this position is paid on a regular, bi-monthly basis, the salary information provided in this job post has been prorated to reflect the actual salary range for a 10-month (part-time/0.833 FTE) employee. Please note that this position is exempt (salaried) and not eligible to earn overtime. NOTE: Upon acceptance of employment, you acknowledge that (i) if you work in the Health Clinics and Public Health Division (including School Health,) influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law, and active support, and (ii) participation in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours.
