About The Position

Sodexo Schools K‑12 has an exciting full‑time opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to support a school district within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This Registered Dietitian serves as the district’s nutrition expert, providing menu accommodations for student allergies and special diets, and partnering with school teams to ensure safe, compliant, and inclusive meal service. 3 weeks of vacation + 3 personal days No weekends or holidays Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal Funding for continuing education Up to $5,000 in annual tuition reimbursement

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and TX state licensure
  • Experience with child nutrition and menu planning for special diets
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian

Responsibilities

  • Manage the district’s nutrition database, PrimeroEdge, including menu planning and nutrition analysis
  • Address nutrition needs related to allergies, weight management, disordered eating, and other medical conditions
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal child nutrition regulations
  • Serve as the district’s subject matter expert in student wellness, leading nutrition campaigns and educational sessions
  • Train food service staff and managers on nutrition services systems and processes
  • Partner with the food service management team and school nurses to ensure all student dietary needs are met
