The NYPD strives to foster a safe city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation. The 5th Precinct serves the southeastern edge of Manhattan, and is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of School Crossing Guard, Level II (Supervisor) to perform the duties that include, but are not limited to: - Supervises all School Crossing Guards in the assigned area within the 5th Precinct command - Monitors attendance, work assignments, and schedules for School Crossing Guards - Transports School Crossing Guards to and from uncovered posts - Prepares reports, forms, memos, lists, cards, etc. - Conducts evaluations and training duties for School Crossing Guards - Must be capable of performing required tours and duties within assigned borough.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Prospective candidates must pass a personal interview to be considered for the position. Prospective candidates must also successfully complete (8) days of training at the Police Academy, including the NYPD Vehicle Operator Training.
