Requirements
A Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work; MSDE, LCSWC certification preferred
A willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, students, and parents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to details
The ability to work confidentially as a consultant to staff and parents to maximize students' potential and achievement while fostering the independence and self-expression required for lifelong learning
Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth and high energy level
Nice To Haves
Experience as school counselor or social worker in an independent school setting preferred
Responsibilities
Monitoring academic progress and planning and implementing interventions when necessary
Addressing personal and academics concerns of parents, teachers, administration, or the student(s)
Providing social, emotional, and academic counseling for students primarily in grades PreK3-8
Developing a network of resources for student support
Providing program specific support in wellness and health issues
Participating in the school community with other duties as assigned
