We are seeking a School Community Health Technician (Operations & Policy Analyst 2) to join the School Wellness, Inclusion, Safety and Health unit in our Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (OEDI) at the Oregon Department of Education. This is a permanent position represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). This position follows a hybrid work model. Onsite presence will be required when business or operational needs are best supported in person, such as collaboration, training, or work that requires access to onsite resources. Employees approved to work remotely must have a reliable and secure internet connection and maintain a professional work environment that supports productivity. While working remotely, employees are expected to maintain the same level of performance, responsiveness, communication, and availability as they would be in the office. The Oregon Department of Education is seeking a School Community Health Technician to develop, deliver, evaluate and continuously improve the tools, templates, professional development and other actions utilized by the School Wellness, Inclusion, Safety & Health (SWISH) unit to continuously improve school community health and mental health for students in Oregon’s schools and to implement the priorities in ODE’s strategic plan and accountability efforts.
