About The Position

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a leading local provider of contract therapy services dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of students in schools. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' communication and language development within educational settings. We are a therapist and woman-owned and operated company. Additional Details: Start: Oct 13th, 2025, through April 30th,2025 (with potential to extend through school year, as caseload identifies) · Oct - Feb (Secondary Placement) · Feb - April (Elementary Placement)

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Maryland lic ensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • Dedication to providing culturally competent and student-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
  • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.
