About The Position

The Clinician provides consistent, high-quality care and psychotherapy through an array of evidence-based, culturally competent, person and family-centered treatment. These services are provided in a variety of different settings including but not limited to outpatient clinic, school, and the community. Our clinic is required to provide behavioral health urgent care services, including access to same-day or next-day services. This is a part/full-time position with required billable outpatient expectations based on clinic hours. Requirements

  • A completed Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or other clinical licensure eligible degree program is required. This individual must be license eligible for an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or LADC-I.
  • Awareness of personal attitudes, beliefs, biases, and assumptions about others
  • Knowledge of the various dimensions of diversity, including gender, race, and ethnicity
  • Acknowledging that people from other cultural groups may not share the same beliefs and practices or perceive experiences in the same way
  • Cultural knowledge of key populations that will be served to address disparities in service delivery
  • Demonstrates positive attitudes towards cultural differences by showing respect and openness towards people whose social and cultural background is different from one's own
  • Demonstrates skills for communication and interaction across cultures, including the ability to recognize and manage personal behaviors, moods, and impulses to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming climate within the agency
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that meets CFS Driver Policy. Travel is required to provide services in different settings and to attend agency meetings, events, and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for our clients and families
  • Perform trauma-informed assessments to identify the unique needs of clients
  • Conduct short-term individual, couples/family, and group therapy for individuals and families with mental health and substance use disorders across the lifespan
  • Maintain a yearly production expectation based on hours worked
  • Complete billable services within 24-hour of event
  • Utilize collaborative documentation as a treatment modality
  • Engage in effective coordination of care across health and behavioral health services to facilitate wellness and recovery of the whole person
  • Make referrals or link to care coordination, peer support and recovery services when needed
  • Support transitions of care, including assisting with the development of aftercare planning with clients and families
  • Provide crisis management services and coordinate with Emergency Services as appropriate
  • Serve as a community educator by providing mental health information to relevant individuals, organizations, and groups
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing, to develop person-centered treatment plans through collaborative documentation
  • Maintain a flexible schedule that is conducive to providing services in an open access model that will include in-person and telehealth services
  • Maintain a caseload of clients and be open to triage and accommodate walk-in appointments
  • Maintain record-keeping as required by CFS, funding sources, and accreditation authorities
  • Participate in all supervision and training activities as required by CFS, funding sources, and accreditation authorities
  • Keep EHR calendar up to date to support centralized scheduling
  • Maintain CANS certification
  • If licensed, complete continued education to maintain clinical professional licensure and ensure that licensure remains active
