Limited Appointment - School Aide PM Crossing Guard (P/T) - Hopi ES (259188)
About The Position
This position is limitied appointment through the term of the agreement for the 2025-2026 school year. Continuation of employment will be reviewed based on staffing needs. Provides a security presence at the school complex by walking around the facility and monitoring activities and students; reports the presence of unauthorized personnel to the school office. Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include: identifying safety violations; diffusing situations among students; reinforcing positive social behavior Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Ability to complete Crossing Guard training.
- Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
- Knowledge of basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures
- customer service principles.

- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
