About The Position

Do you have proven experience in a fast-paced childcare environment, dedicated to youth development and fostering strong relationships? If you have a background in licensed childcare and a passion for the positive impact of high-quality childcare on children and families, this could be the perfect role for you! As the Licensing Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our school-age programs in six elementary and middle school sites in Marblehead and Swampscott, meet and exceed licensing requirements. Your work will directly contribute to our commitment to safety, quality, and compliance, helping us maintain strong, effective programs that support the mission of the YMCA.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet Site Coordinator Qualifications as defined by licensing agencies, with a minimum of three years of experience managing a compliant school-age site or program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must provide evidence of a physical exam within one year prior to employment and every two years thereafter.
  • Demonstrated understanding of School-Age licensing regulations and the ability to develop and implement action plans to address compliance issues.
  • Must complete all required training, certifications, and program orientation as outlined by the MA Department of Early Education and Care and the YMCA of the North Shore.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular compliance checks and provide training and support to ensure strong and compliant licensed childcare programming.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training to equip staff with the knowledge and resources needed to meet site licensing requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with licensors, attend licensing visits, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee camp licensing and ensure full compliance with DPH and DHHS licensing standards.
  • Develop and implement a licensing/ACA training program for camp counselors.
  • Support staff recruitment and development while managing the BRC Lead portal to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
