About The Position

Responsibilities and Impact: This role p rovides direction and support to the Data & Research’s Corporates commercial teams by leading compliance-focused conversations that drive revenue. This position requires a strategic approach to ensure that compliance initiatives align with business objectives , fostering growth and sustainability. Responsibilities include assessing customer licenses and terms, helping commercial to diagnose use cases, leading licensing conversations and coordinating with commercial to develop and deliver proposals/presentations. The position also involves developing medium to long-term strategies to protect and grow the value of S&P’s data. Compensation is based on the achievement of growth objectives .

Requirements

  • Experience: Must possess 10+ years of experience in Licensing and Compliance-related roles.
  • Customer Focus (Internal & External): Build strategic relationships with key executives to support business needs and long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively to both internal and external stakeholders , negotiating solutions that align with strategic goals.
  • Engage in high-level strategic meetings with key clients to foster relationships and discuss partnership opportunities.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Navigate emotionally challenging situations with awareness of biases .
  • Collaboration: Work beyond team boundaries to resolve issues and agree on solutions.
  • Time Management: Manage multiple key projects and priorities effectively .
  • Adaptability: Make difficult decisions and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Communication: Articulate complex ideas across functions and levels, negotiating effectively to reach solutions.
  • Leadership: Strategically identify opportunities for growth and innovation, coaching and empowering teams to maximize performance.
  • Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance-focused discussions with internal and external stakeholders to support revenue generation.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies that align with business objectives .
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure compliance initiatives support sales efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance to commercial teams on compliance-related matters.
  • Offer strategic insights and act as a thought partner to address complex licensing issues.
