About The Position

As an Achievement Prep Scholar Support Compliance Coordinator you will act as a Leadership team member across the elementary (K-3) and middle school campus (4-8) managing the compliance functions through the following work streams: 504 compliance, IEP compliance, Evaluation Coordination, MTSS Coordination, Intervention, and Data Management Systems . This role partners with Campus-Based Leadership Teams to ensure the effective implementation and compliance of all Section 504, IDEA/IEP, and MTSS processes. This role is responsible for managing timelines, documentation, meetings, and data systems to ensure scholars receive appropriate supports and services in alignment with federal, state, and network requirements. The Coordinator collaborates closely with school leaders to strengthen systems, analyze data to inform intervention and referral decisions, and support clear, proactive communication with families. This role supports Platinum Teachers by reducing compliance-related administrative burden, providing guidance and timelines for IEPs, 504 plans, MTSS documentation, and evaluations, reviewing draft IEPs for quality and alignment, maintaining accurate service schedules, and training staff on Special Programs systems. This role ensures teachers are informed of accommodations, modifications, and service changes that impact classroom instruction. This role is a non-supervisory role that reports directly to the Director of Scholar Support and is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Certification, degree, or licensure in special education
  • 5+ years of teaching experience
  • Substantial experience in an urban setting to children in historically underserved communities
  • 2+ years of special education coordinator or special education case management experience
