Diploma or Equivalent Required · 1 Year Healthcare experience including customer relations Required · 2 Years Professional office/healthcare experience Preferred · 1 Year Medical terminology or certification Preferred · 6 Months Call center experience Preferred · Bilingual Preferred · CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire Pref · Ability to promptly assess requests by using electronic and paper resource materials and correctly respond to patient inquiries. · Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills, with attention to details. · Proficient computer skills, medical terminology, Epic, Microsoft Office and assorted software programs. · Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a highly stressful and emotional environment, to include crime, behavioral health and suffering patients in addition to life or death situations. · Must be able to exhibit a high level of empathy with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and family members during traumatic events, while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills · Demonstrates ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in an effective and organized manner and appropriately escalating concerns to leadership. · Requires exceptional listening, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional, pleasant and respectful telephone etiquette What You Will Do · Coordinates and schedules procedures across multiple departments, ensuring correct procedures, diagnoses, referrals, providers, insurance coverage, and locations to support timely patient access. · Verifies medical necessity and documentation compliance with payer guidelines. · Communicates effectively with patients, physician offices, surgery scheduling, and other staff to prevent scheduling errors. · Ensures orders, histories, physicals, and key chart documents are accurately indexed and properly placed. · Manages schedules based on staffing, patient needs, physician block time, and resource availability while maintaining system and regulatory compliance. · Maintains productivity, customer service standards, work queues, demographic accuracy, financial estimates, and liaison duties between patients, providers, and insurers. · Supports team success by mentoring peers, adapting to change, and participating in meetings, improvement efforts, and assigned projects Additional perks of being an employee · Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs as well as several other benefits. · Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. · Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). · A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
