About The Position

The Scheduling Intern supports Webber’s project controls and operations teams by assisting with the development, maintenance, and analysis of construction schedules for heavy civil and infrastructure projects. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to project scheduling, progress tracking, and coordination with project management and field teams. The role is designed for students interested in construction management, engineering, or project controls and provides a strong foundation in how schedules drive project execution and performance.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Industrial Engineering, or related degree program
  • Strong interest in construction planning, scheduling, and project controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, deadline‑driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of construction sequencing and project workflows (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules under the guidance of Project Controls, Scheduling, or Project Management teams
  • Support updates to construction schedules by tracking progress, quantities, and key milestones
  • Help prepare and update look‑ahead schedules for project teams
  • Assist with reviewing schedule logic, activity sequencing, and durations with supervision
  • Support coordination between scheduling staff, project managers, superintendents, and field engineers
  • Help assemble schedule reports, progress updates, and internal deliverables as assigned
  • Observe how schedules are used to manage productivity, sequencing, and project deadlines
  • Maintain organized electronic schedule files and supporting documentation
  • Observe and support Webber’s Safety First culture and comply with company safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project scheduling and controls efforts
