Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED in Healthcare (Required)
  • Up to 1 year experience Clerical Healthcare (Required)
  • Clerical background
  • General computer skills
  • Knowledge in medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates organizational skills in the management of participant appointments/tests/procedures and ensures a smooth and thorough process
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and appropriate judgement related to phone and in-person interactions.
  • Answers phone calls promptly and courteously pertaining to setting up appointments.
  • Relays accurate and complete messages to the appropriate person.
  • Effectively performs all responsibilities related to scheduling participants for specialist and routine appointments both internally and externally with many different providers and areas of specialty.
  • Coordinates scheduling of participants within multiple departments internally including nursing, transportation and therapy at three different sites.
  • Follows all scheduling procedures appropriately and completes scheduling paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Communicates appropriately with customers, transportation and other departments.
  • Ensures all medical records are retrieved from outside providers and forwards information to the medical records department for scanning purposes.
