As a Scheduling Coordinator I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining all clinical field staff schedules. You will coordinate appropriate visits, ensure timely communication with the clinical field staff, and manage scheduling tasks through our EMR System Homecare Homebase (HCHB). Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Professional and customer-service-driven phone and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, clinical staff, and office staff
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems and computerized systems in general
  • Typing speed of at least 35 wpm
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a Home Health Scheduling setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the clinical field staff schedules on a daily/weekly basis
  • Ensuring admitted patients are seen as ordered by referring physicians
  • Monitoring and adjusting the visit schedule in the scheduling console
  • Communicating with clinicians through phone calls, messaging, and email
  • Making schedule adjustments to cover unexpected call-outs
  • Referring patients to outside vendors as necessary
  • Assisting the clinical field staff in meeting productivity expectations
  • Assigning new patients to case managers and scheduling accordingly
  • Ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations/practices
  • Attending agency-wide meetings/in-services related to the scheduling position
