This position is for a Scheduling and Patient Services role in General Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center. The role involves assisting patients at the front check-in desk, greeting them professionally, and interacting with a diverse patient population. Key duties include utilizing the electronic medical record for patient registration and record maintenance, updating insurance information, collecting co-pays, and scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals. The role also requires knowledge of state and government agencies for proper consents and professional communication with all parties including providers, patients, clinical care teams, and insurance companies. The individual will be responsible for complex patient registration and scheduling, preparing patient paperwork, discussing financial obligations, and supporting clinical workflow across multiple systems.
