The Scheduler is responsible for utilizing MRP/ERP and other interdepartmental systems, processes, and documents to manage and control various scheduling-related issues, situations, and requirements within an assigned work area. This role involves coordinating production schedules, ensuring schedule compliance, managing work center loads, staging orders, reducing past due conditions, resolving line shortages, and providing achievable commitment dates. The Scheduler will also work with MRP and Operations to identify and mitigate shortages, conduct capacity reviews, monitor work center queues, and maintain system data integrity through various system functions and transactions. Participation in continuous improvement activities and assisting supervisors with material disposition or bottleneck analysis may also be required.
