About The Position

The role of a Scheduler in the organization is absolutely necessary in order to meet the Commercial Optimization goal of filling our Intrastate pipeline system with the highest return possible. The job consists of entering purchase and sale nominations, confirming with upstream and downstream pipelines, acting as the customer service representative for our company, and ensuring the molecules move from point to point by working closely with the gas control group. Finally, a Scheduler is a key contributor to both the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to make sure invoices are accurate and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience in lieu of degree with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work within a team environment is a must
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Good organizational and planning skills are required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must demonstrate good customer service skills
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required
  • Ability to work rotational shift work: day, evening, weekend is required
  • The Associate/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

Responsibilities

  • Nominates schedules, confirms, and monitors flow and imbalances from receipt points to delivery points on Energy Transfer’s Intrastate pipelines ensuring receipt and delivery points are within contract requirements.
  • Tracks volume requirements (contractual obligations) and flow versus nominations (e.g. Operational Balance Agreements – OBA’s) with pipelines and makes decisions relative to the OBA balances.
  • Works with shippers, pipelines, and commercial team to resolve imbalances.
  • Makes decisions on various options for gas flow (e.g. to different pipelines), coordinating with affiliate pipelines and gas control.
  • Verifies volumes directly with operations and/or through monitoring SCADA.
  • Communicates with operations to ensure flow rates are consistent with pipeline capabilities.
  • Confirms volume information to pipelines and works closely with accounting.
  • Knowledge of system, pipeline grid and process of scheduling and nominating gas.
