Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous scheduling and medical office experience preferred
• Basic word processing, order entry, spreadsheets, EMR system experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Answering scheduling main line and transferring, taking messages and helping patients accordingly and resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur.
• Liaise and coordinate with healthcare professionals about schedules, patients, and any changes.
• Ensuring all incoming orders have demographics, insurance, authorization information and all other pertinent information and communicate with referring provider office for needed or missing information.
• Verify insurance eligibility for both medial and vision insurances for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or by contacting the carriers directly.
• Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems.
• Review patient deductibles and/or copays and enter the billing system and spreadsheets provided to the front-end department at all locations.
