Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One (1) year work experience in the medical front office setting
• One (1) year experience with multi-phone system
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
• Ability to maintain quality control standards
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for answering multi-line phone system and scheduling appointments on the EPIC computer system.
• Responsible for routing patient calls to the appropriate personnel utilizing voicemail, PowerChart Office in EPIC, & paging through paging software – Outlook Paging.
• Verification of patient insurance/demographic information, rescheduling patients for return visits.
