About The Position

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services. They are seeking a full-time Scanning Technician for their Ft. Meade, Maryland client, supporting a dynamic Intelligence Community office located on the Ft. Meade campus. The core hours for this position are 0500-1600. Scanning technicians are responsible for preparing, scanning, and delivering documents to the office that performs declassification services, as well as to other government agencies. The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph completed less than seven years ago, a valid driver's license, and the ability to load/unload boxes weighing up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • When new boxes arrive, put labels on the boxes and record the box number in a logbook
  • Upon receipt of documents perform and inventory check to ensure all documents and pages are accounted for and readied for scanning. Preparation is to consist of bar coding, inventory control, staple removal, clean up, and placement of appropriate separator sheets
  • Scan appropriate documents and separator sheets. An inventory shall be performed at the beginning a completion of each "batch" of documents and any discrepancies noted and repaired. Error correction could include rescanning of the documents
  • Provide for the care and cleaning of all Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) scanning equipment as recommended by the manufacturer. This includes, but is not limited to, loading the feeders, clearing any document jams and removing completed documents
  • Review the scanned documents to verify that the information extracted is accurate and complete. Unacceptable documents shall be rescanned
  • Document the current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the preparation, scanning, indexing and equity review of documents for Sponsor approval
  • Recommend improvements to the SOP and present to the Sponsor for approval
  • Securely transport classified data and GFE scanning equipment between Sponsor and OGA locations
