About The Position
The scale clerk supports the movement of grain though Ag Valley's elevator system.
Requirements
- Basic math, computer, and organizational skills essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required
- Attention to detail
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work in close proximity to grain and grain dust
- Job requires employees to be on their feet in a fast-paced environment
- Applicant should be able to work extended harvest hours
Responsibilities
- Operate scale weighing both inbound and outbound trucks
- Sampling, grading, and testing grain
- Operating scale computers, printing and filing tickets
- Directing customers to proper dumping stations
- Communicate with elevator staff on types and quality of grain received
- Front line customer service duties
