As the SCADA Systems Administrator I, you will provide system administration with a focus on Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019 and Red Hat Linux 7, and the integration of diverse operating environments. You will be responsible for managing critical hardware components such as Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10. You will have direct supervision and will assist more senior administrators. Additionally, In this role you will: Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems within a SCADA/EMS real-time power operations system. Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and application software to ensure alignment with project timelines and operational requirements. Ensure compliance with configuration management processes as required by the customer and industry standards. Ensure these processes are applied effectively to all assigned systems. Assist with managing the lifecycle of systems hardware and peripheral equipment, including ordering, inventory control, installation, deployment, redeployment, maintenance, repair/warranty work, and disposal. Perform standard system administration duties, including account management, computer/server management, printer and resource shares, Group Policy management, and various other system administration responsibilities. Administer Windows 10,11 / Server 2016, 2019, VMware ESXi 7, and Dell Precision Tower environments, ensuring the stability and efficiency of these platforms. Support and maintain hardware components such as Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10 Servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Identify and troubleshoot system issues, escalating complex problems to senior staff as needed. Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve system-related issues. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system logs, patching, security log configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

  • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in SCADA OR Systems Administration or a combination of both.
  • Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10 servers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with an emphasis on creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with critical systems to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019, with the ability to manage and administer these environments effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
