About The Position

Seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support renewables projects as an Owner's Representative for projects across the US. Opportunity is to work remotely with 40% travel to sites within the US and potentially Canada. The SCADA and Controls Engineer will support the design and integration of DG control systems and be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of both new and existing automation systems, utilizing the latest technologies and trends in renewable energy projects.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and controls engineering.
Control software design and programming for PLC and SCADA systems.
Interfacing and coordination for M2M, B2B, and DNP3.
Experience with network design, specification, BOM, and sourcing.
Knowledge of device control network design and specification.
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA & HMI systems, HMI panels, and IT infrastructure.
Understanding of communication protocols like Modbus, TCP/IP, MQQT, and OPC.
Ability to generate Bills of Materials for automation systems and panels.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement new and existing automation systems.
Maintain effective working relationships with management, supervisory positions, foremen, and electricians.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of engineering documentation and specifications.
Establish and adhere to procedures and standards in safety, communications, and performance testing.
Extract contractual requirements from power purchase and interconnection agreements, ensuring engineering and SCADA design meets deliverables.
