SCA - General Construction Technician
About The Position
The scope of services for Field Installation Technician includes general labor and facilities support and will be performed on-site at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The ideal candidate shall perform work during standard PHNSY&IMF working hours (0630 – 1500) unless specifically requested and agreed upon 5 days in advance, at a minimum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance: Facilities preventative maintenance, repair, renovation, removal, and disposal Tools, inventory management & job tracking Waterfront cleanup & disposal of material Furniture planning, repair, installation, relocation, removal, & disposal Installation of Information Technology (IT) services including CAT-5/CAT-6 cable & IT cabinets Hurricane and inclement weather preparation and facilities tie-downs Vegetation control & removal Minor facilities maintenance work including carpentry, painting, roofing, and welding.
Requirements
- Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
- Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations and clearances (to include periodic reinvestigations)
- 7+ years of experience performing general construction duties or facilities management
- Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Possible lifting up to 40 lbs.
