About The Position

Develops, implements, and/or coordinates internal events, programs or services, fundraising events or campaigns, community service projects, alumni events, and other special events or services for both ASI and SC, which include Warrior Expo, New Student Orientation, Warrior Welcome, Warrior Discounter, Turlock Transit, among other programs. Responsible for performing assessments of all departments within ASI & SC. Duties and responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned. This position reports directly to the ASI & SC Executive Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Four years of experience in student leadership and development.
  • Principles of management and training programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and group communication skills.
  • Experience advising students and working in a diverse student population.
  • Possess the ability to interpret and apply policies and exercise good judgment.
  • Maintenance of standard and computerized files and information retrieval systems.
  • Modern office methods, procedures, and practices.
  • English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (which includes checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records; and may include motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, as position requires) is required for employment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License, maintain appropriate auto insurance, and have access to a vehicle that is in safe mechanical condition.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the SC Engagement Assistant by selecting, training, facilitating meetings, and delegating work.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, leads, and monitors workflow, and provides support during absences.
  • Manages the SC and ASI Engagement budget and financial records.
  • Develops administrative reports as needed.
  • Researches, recommends, and develops new programs, services and fundraising opportunities for SC and ASI.
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides guidance for program development, marketing, and assessment with community service programs including Warriors Giving Back, The Giving Tree, Blood Drives and Love Turlock.
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides guidance for event planning and marketing involving the community including events such as Warriors Explore Downtown.
  • Primary contact for local community partnerships.
  • Respond to communications and activities requests with local communities including Turlock Transit Services and Warrior Discounter businesses.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes for SC & ASI Organizational events including the Holiday Dinner, Student Staff Appreciation activities or giveaways, Kickball Competition and End of the Year Celebration.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes all SC & ASI Alumni events including marketing and maintaining assessment information.
  • Maintains alumni contact list with address, phone, email, and social media information.
  • Acts as the primary contact for SC and ASI’s involvement in New Student Orientation.
  • Acts as the primary contact for SC and ASI’s involvement in Warrior Expo.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute all activities SC and ASI will provide in collaboration with other campus departments.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes Student Recruitment and Outreach department collaboration trainings, activities services, and events including Warrior Welcome.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes Student Affairs/and or Student Engagement collaboration activities trainings.
  • Collaborates with SC Human Resource and Risk Manager to ensure compliance with risk management policies.
  • Seeks advisement from the SC Human Resource and Risk Manager to ensure all contracts, insurance and waivers are processed accurately and timely.
  • Uses analysis reporting to design and conduct assessments for evaluation and refinement of all ASI & SC programs, services, and campaigns for both the Turlock and Stockton campuses.
  • Compiles all assessment information and develops reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Creates ASI & SC semester and end of the year reports.
