Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in commercial credit, commercial banking, or an equivalent field
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to identify issues and present recommended solutions to management
  • Strong computer skills
  • Team-first mentality

  • Direct SBA experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined portfolio of existing SBA commercial loan customers
  • Address customer requests that may require specialized knowledge, industry expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of the SBA SOP
  • Proactive management of the portfolio to ensure early detection of material changes in customer performance
  • Manage customer reporting requirements, including ongoing tracking to ensure timely receipt of all required post-close documents, including financial statements, insurance certificates, and other similar items
  • Completion of annual reviews, periodic file memos, loan modifications and policy waivers
  • Ability to assess financial performance and risk, including identifying ways to mitigate risk to the bank
  • Work with department management and origination teammates to ensure ongoing credit quality of the portfolio and new originations
  • Strong working knowledge of loan policy and a proven ability to adhere to sound risk management practices as well as to all internal and external credit and regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service with an ability to resolve customer problems independently
  • Assist with special projects or any other tasks assigned by management, including but not limited to audit preparation, ongoing due diligence, industry research, and portfolio maintenance
