About The Position

As a Sawmill Superintendent with Interfor, you’ll lead the overall operations of a modern sawmill, driving safety, productivity, and team engagement in a dynamic environment. Requirements

• 5–7 years of progressive supervisory experience in sawmill or manufacturing operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Thorough understanding of sawmill processes, safety, and optimization best practices.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred (degree or diploma an asset).

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all policies and standards are followed.
• Direct and support your team to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement opportunities to boost productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee all aspects of lumber manufacturing to meet or exceed quality standards.
• Manage budgets, performance reviews, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
