About The Position

The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining saw equipment to cut raw materials to specified dimensions. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and production requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares).
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in repetitive tasks.
Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machine safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. as required.
Work in a production environment with noise, dust, and moving machinery.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a saw operator, machine operator, or in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate band saws, circular saws, or other cutting equipment according to work orders and specifications.
Measure, mark, and cut raw materials (metal, plastic, or wood) to required dimensions.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job instructions.
Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain saws and related equipment, including sharpening, blade changes, and routine preventive maintenance.
Record production quantities, job details, and material usage.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S standards.
Assist other production team members as needed.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
