About The Position

About the Role As a Saw Operator at Ironworks Welding, Inc., you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining an automated bandsaw to cut and trim materials to precise specifications. You'll work from blueprints and work orders, ensuring quality through careful measurement and inspection while upholding our strong safety culture.

Requirements

• Ability to read measurements and perform basic math for tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
• Adaptability to changing conditions and operational demands
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a drug & alcohol-free workplace
• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check
• Must pass a motor vehicle record check

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a forklift or skid steer (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and verify material dimensions using tapes, calipers, and squares
• Cut and trim work pieces to exact specifications
• Inspect cut materials for accuracy, squareness, and surface condition
• Perform routine maintenance including blade changes
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Comply with all safety policies, codes, and regulations
