Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal work instructions to construct and assemble trailer components using electric, pneumatic, and hand-powered tools. Ensure product conformance to specifications and standards based on work orders and drawings. Measure, mark, cut and machine parts using equipment such as extrusion saws, tube benders, bandsaws, chop saws, and double cut extrusion saws. Stock materials for both Line 1 and Line 2, including production and subassembly components. Stock and maintain materials for custom bays and stock parts inventory. Maintain inventory and organization of standard tubing materials. Stock and manage aluminum components in both polished and mill finish. Stock inner and exterior fender gussets. Stock pre-cut couches and related inventory for production. Cut fold down slats, piano hinges, and related components per work orders. Keep racks stocked and organized to support Build Department. Communicate and collaborate with saw operators, welders, and supervisors to address product or process issues. Follow and support lean manufacturing processes (e.g., 5-S, Point of Use, Kanban Systems, etc.), to maintain productivity and a clean, safe work area. Flexibility to float to other departments as needed by the company. Adhere to all policies and procedures set by Cimarron Trailers. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to periodic or random fitness-for-duty exams and/or drug or alcohol screenings. Ensure timely completion of high-quality products. Regular attendance is critical for this role. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with operating saws and other related machinery is a plus. Basic understanding of blueprints, sketches, and work orders is beneficial. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments. Familiarity with product construction and application to ensure quality work at the source. Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Physical Demands: Ability to stand and move around the facility for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours a shift, plus any required overtime). Ability to stoop, bend, twist, squat, kneel throughout the day. Frequent use of hands and arms for gripping, twisting, and operating tools such as welding guns, plasma torches, pneumatic and electric hand tools. Frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs. throughout the shift, with occasional lifting of times up to 100lbs. (anything over 50 lbs. requires team lifting). Ability to safely handle necessary tools for job functions. Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses (required at all times) Safety shoes (required at all times) Hearing protection (required at all times) Work Environment: Combination of non-air-conditioned plant and outdoor settings. Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as work involves moving between indoor and outdoor spaces. Continuous exposure to loud noise; hearing protection is required. Exposure to smoke and fumes from welding operations.
