About The Position

The primary duty of a Saw Operator is to focus his/her efforts on keeping material flow through their cell to meet customer demand. Also responsible for performing all the responsibilities and duties detailed below. Willing to perform any task required within the Saw room and machine shop and focuses. Holds great reverence for their position and understand that they play a key role in the quality and integrity of the components they are producing. Understands what role the position of Saw Operator plays in upholding the integrity of the GCX quality policy. Reports to the Assembly Manager.

The use of IFS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Understand how to set up and operate the cutting saws in their department.
Use precision measuring instruments as required by the job.
Will have a good understanding of the material they are cutting.
Understanding of the GCX anodize and finish criteria.
Responsible for Housekeeping awareness
Responsible for ensuring the machine shop is compliant with the GCX quality system and understands their quality role.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Capable of standing for 8 to 10 hours.
Have approved forklift license.
Blueprint reading as well as understanding CTQ dimensions.
Understand the electronic requirements of the saw operator as required by the job. Such as punching in and out of work orders, electronic quality signoffs, issuing material if required.
Identify and communicate HR issues to their supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
