About The Position

We are seeking a Structural Steel Saw Operator to accurately cut structural steel to specified dimensions based on cut lists, work orders, and bills of materials. This role requires strict adherence to industry, company, and contract standards to ensure quality and safety.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and work orders
• Proficient in reading a tape measure
• Experience using calipers, protractors, squares, and other measuring tools
• Comfortable using computer-assisted systems for machine setup
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work extended shifts as required

Responsibilities

• Cut structural steel to specified sizes using supplied cut lists, work orders, or bills of materials
• Set up equipment using computer-assisted gauging systems
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure materials meet print specifications
• Use inspection and testing tools as required (calipers, squares, protractors, etc.)
• Offload steel shipments using a hoist; inspect materials for imperfections and verify quantities
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production status reports
• Accurately record time on timesheets using decimal format
• Maintain consistent daily attendance of up to 10 hours per day to meet production schedules
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
