About The Position

Cuts material on saws, maintaining work order tolerances and specifications

Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.
• Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
• Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
• Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
• Must be forklift operations and safety certified.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Ability to use measurement tools
• Knowledge of saw concepts, practices and procedures
• Ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances and specifications
• Ability to set up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and flow of coolant against cutting area
• Ability to properly load material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment
• Knowledge of changing blades on saws as needed
• Cleans saws at the end of shift
• Adheres to personal and facility safety procedures and practices
• Other duties as required
