SUMMARY: The Saw Operator 1 is responsible for operating saw equipment to cut grating products according to production specifications. Core responsibilities include material staging, alignment, clamping, lubrication management, and accurate cutting to job orders. The operator must follow safety procedures, monitor cut quality, and perform routine checks and maintenance, including blade changes and coolant refill. Success in this role requires the ability to interpret job travelers, manage cut schedules efficiently, and contribute to a clean and organized work area.
