About The Position

Peak Utility Infrastructure is an integrated engineering and construction company that serves the Electric, Natural Gas, and Telecommunications industries. We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services, including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through our operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers, 5 Star Electric, Superior Hydrovac and Superior Pipeline Services. We seek a Road Saw Operator to join our growing team. Saw Cutters work under the direction of utility reconstruction performing physical activities in core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal.

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
High school diploma or equivalent desired
Minimum two years of experience core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal experience
Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and have a good driving history
Ability to work days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary
Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Proficiency in any or all of the following diamond or demolition tools: wall saw, core drill, flat saw, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools

Nice To Haves

Experience working with underground utilities desired
CDL A is a plus
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Responsibilities

Responsible for operation and maintenance of large walk behind saw
Maintain saws, equipment, and tooling.
Verify measurements and cut depths are accurate.
Utilize daily job brief and set up jobs accordingly with proper safety measures.
Assist Crew Leader in physical labor at underground utility construction/reconstruction and maintenance work.
Collaborate with supervisor and foreman to schedule work and safely perform saw cutting.
Perform daily inspection paperwork daily and notify supervision of any issues.
Adhere to all DOT Safety Regulations/Requirements
Train others in safe efficient operation of equipment
Complete misc. duties as assigned.
