About The Position

The Co-op position serves as a development opportunity at our Savannah Plant location. The Co-op will work with our Savannah Production Enginners Group and will complete 2-3 rotations. The Operations Co-op position exists as a developmental support position for our manufacturing operations teams. The position will be involved in day-to-day process engineering support activities and also be responsible for completing 1-2 larger, long-term projects which will be defined at the beginning of the co-op rotation. Co-ops will be targeted at the sophomore and junior levels and will complete 2-3 rotations within the Company's manufacturing operations and may be assigned to manufacturing plants located in Panama City, Florida; Pensacola, Florida; Savannah, Georgia, Belpre, Ohio and Dover, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Keen focus on personal and physical safety.
  • Committed to completing the rotational program.
  • Able to work off hours if needed/necessary.
  • Must have basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail, and Project.
  • Must be willing to work with others and have a positive attitude in a manufacturing or office setting.
  • Possess a basic understanding and knowledge of academic discipline.
  • Learn, apply knowledge, and skills to the performance of [Insert Division].
  • Able to research and integrate new ideas into the business.
  • Display effective business communication skills, (oral, written, instructional, and presentation) as well as the ability to work on cross-functional and/or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Must demonstrate personal initiative to complete work without missing deadlines and communicate and follow-up on the status of projects and other work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Able to organize and prioritize project and work tasks. Project Management skills or classwork preferred but not required.
  • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore, junior, senior) student pursuing a bachelor's degree in academic discipline or related field of study.
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

  • Define and complete 1-2 large projects within the rotation period.
  • Gain knowledge of the Company's operations and provide technical support as needed.
  • Participate in plant management and departmental team meetings.
  • Create and deliver end of semester presentation/report to senior management and executive leadership.
