Kearfott Corporation is looking for a Test Engineering CO-OP participant to join our team in Pine Brook, NJ. The qualified candidate will be part of the Kearfott Sensor Evaluation and Production Engineering Test team. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment where you will work directly with experienced Engineers and operators to enhance your skills and develop a higher level of product/process knowledge. The Engineering Co-Op participant will: 1) help in the coordination of assembly and testing; 2) develop, revise, and employ test manufacturing instructions and procedures; 3) interpret test and measurement data; and 4) improve testing processes and tooling. Other responsibilities may include: review of technical data, performance assessment, problem identification, corrective action planning, and implementation. Work with engineering teams to understand and evaluate test results. Develop graphics displaying the results of analyses. Support reports and briefings describing the results and significance of analyses performed.

  • GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other similar engineering or scientific majors.
  • Knowledgeable in some of the following areas: software programming, computer-aided design, analog/digital design, lasers, free-space or fiber optics, guidance & control, systems analysis, or systems integration.
  • Have coursework, interest, motivation, and experience that provide the foundation to develop expertise in one or more of the above engineering specialties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • General knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling and analysis methods.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 16 weeks during the Spring 2026 semester (January 2026 – May 2026)
