Requirements

  • At least 1–2 years of experience as a Sauté Cook in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen is REQUIRED
  • Strong foundation in culinary techniques, particularly sautéing and heat management
  • Experience working with high-end ingredients and innovative cooking methods
  • Passionate about cooking and committed to excellence
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on consistency and presentation
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station
  • Professional demeanor and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Execute dishes from the sauté station with precision and consistency
  • Prepare mise en place including sauces, garnishes, and proteins ahead of service
  • Ensure that all food is prepared according to Trumbull Kitchen’s high standards for taste, temperature, and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sauté station during service
  • Assist with other kitchen stations as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and efficient kitchen operations
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines in compliance with health regulations
