About The Position

SAS Coordinator Space and Assortment - Hybrid in Scarborough, Maine Position Summary The SAS Coordinator – Space and Assortment Analyst is an entry-level role that supports both the Space and Assortment Planning teams. This position provides hands-on exposure to space planning processes, tools, and industry best practices. While some work will involve using building software, the role offers a well-rounded introduction to space planning rather than being software‑focused. This is a Hybrid role requiring regular in‑office work during the week. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Scarborough, Maine. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities - Provide support to Space and Assortment Planning teams; work independently while engaging with team members or clients as needed. - Maintain and update data in various tools to ensure accuracy and consistency across the department. - Assist with tasks in space and assortment building software under supervision. - Learn foundational concepts in Space and Assortment Planning and participate in identifying innovative solutions to meet customer goals. - Develop an understanding of basic client and customer strategies to better support departmental objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports - This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Indirect Reports - This position does not provide guidance or mentoring to indirect reports. Travel and Driving Requirements - Travel is not an essential function of this role. - Driving is not an essential duty for this position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in merchandising and planogram development skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Nice To Haves

  • Any experience with merchandising or knowledge of planograms or floorplans is preferred but not required
  • Organization and multitasking abilities would be beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to Space and Assortment planning teams. Works will be independent but may require team or client interaction.
  • Maintain and update data and information in assorted tools to ensure consistency and accuracy for the department.
  • Supports work in Space and Assortment building software with supervision.
  • Learns to understand Space and Assortment planning initiatives and how to search for innovative solutions to support customer goals.
  • Learns basic client/customer strategies to help with supporting department.
