About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Senior S/4HANA SCM Architect to lead large-scale SAP transformation programs. This is a builder-leader role: you will own the end-to-end SCM solution blueprint spanning planning, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfillment—while personally engaging in configuration, prototyping, and guiding build teams . You will be responsible for defining the system architecture, ensuring seamless integration with adjacent platforms (IBP, BTP, SAP Integration Suite), and driving implementation quality from discovery through hypercare.

Requirements

• Manufacturing (PP): Discrete, process, and repetitive manufacturing; master data (BOMs, routings, work centers); shop-floor execution and quality gates (QM).
• Procurement (MM/P2P): Source-to-contract processes, advanced pricing and conditions, supplier collaboration, consignment, and subcontracting.
• Warehouse Management (EWM): Deep expertise required, including design and configuration for both Embedded and Decentralized EWM . Focus areas: inbound/outbound, wave management, slotting, rearrangement, RF processing, and labor management basics.
• Planning & Fulfillment: MRP Live, demand/supply planning, PP/PP-DS fundamentals, and the use of Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) for substitutions, allocations, and back order processing.
• Logistics & Integration: Integration with Transportation Management (TM), Global Trade/Sanctions Screening, and fulfillment processes (PGI).
• Data & Analytics: Defining master data governance touchpoints, leading large-scale data migration/cut over efforts, and designing inventory accuracy KPIs using Embedded Analytics (CDS views) .
• Extensibility & Cloud: Hands-on experience defining the integration architecture using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) for EDI, 3PL, WMS, and TMS partners, and designing side-by-side custom applications using SAP BTP (RAP/CAP) .
• Experience: 15+ years of SAP experience with 7+ years focused on S/4HANA SCM (Public, Private Cloud, or On-Premise).
• Leadership: Must have led 3+ end-to-end S/4 implementations in SCM as the Solution or Enterprise Architect.
• Hands-On Core SCM: Deep configuration expertise in MM, PP, and EWM (must-have) and practical knowledge of aATP and Quality Management (QM).
• Integration: Solid hands-on background with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) , IDoc/API management, and aligning integration with 3PL/TMS/MES/IBP systems.
• Data Migration: Proven experience leading cutover and data migration for SCM objects (Material Master, BoM/Routings, Open POs/PRs, Inventory).
• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting to VP/CXO audiences and driving clear decision logs.
• Location: Must be willing to relocate to Carmel, IN or Atlanta, GA .

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RISE with SAP or Private Cloud implementations on hyperscalers (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Exposure to PP-DS, TM, Global Trade Services (GTS) , and serialization/GS1 standards.
• Familiarity with test automation tools like Tosca and experience with SAP MDG .

Responsibilities

• Architecture Ownership: Own the SCM architecture for major S/4HANA programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition) from blueprint through go-live.
• Hands-On Configuration: Perform direct configuration in core SCM areas ( MM, PP, EWM, aATP ) to build prototypes and validate fit-to-standard decisions versus custom extensions.
• Process Design: Define and own end-to-end process designs (Plan-Buy-Make-Move-Sell), defining operational runbooks, error handling, and performance standards (NFRs).
• Governance & Quality: Establish rigorous governance, solution standards, transport controls, and define the overall testing strategy, including test automation (e.g., with Tosca).
• Leadership & Mentoring: Partner with program leadership on estimation and solution reviews, and actively mentor junior consultants to enforce high standards of delivery quality.
