About The Position

This position is for a seasoned professional in SAP Release Management to join our team in managing the planning and execution of the SAP Release Management processes and governance. This is a hybrid position based out of one of Collins Major facilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
  • Deploying, administering and managing SAP Basis and application integrations.
  • Practical understanding of SAP's Transport process and BASIS functions.
  • Familiarity with the workings of development and operations in an SAP environment.
  • Release Management experience.
  • MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a government and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP S4 HANA
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience managing the inter-project, inter-function, and inter-departmental dependencies that define an enterprise release.
  • Release Management experience
  • Agile and/or DevOps experience
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager ALM tools, including Change Request Management, Transport Execution Analysis, Transport Execution Analysis for Projects, Change Impact Analysis, Test Management, Business Process Repository, and Scope and Effort Analyzer
  • Service Now Change and/or Configuration Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and co-ordinate all changes to the pre-production & production environment
  • Provide leadership, direction and definition for the SAP release management function including planning, scheduling, test coordination and implementation of release deployments
  • Establish, track and report metrics
  • Provide expertise in implementing best practices for configuration management
  • Participate in and/or lead the Change Approval Board
  • Define, maintain and communicate the detailed plan for each release
  • Work with Resource Managers, Service Managers, Project Managers, Cutover Leads, Quality Assurance Leads, Change Management, Technical Leads, Functional Leads, and others
  • Make timely and sound business decisions that support the business objectives of Collins Aerospace
  • Summarize and present key information to senior leadership enabling them to make decisions
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives
  • Support, configure, and manage SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM)
