About The Position

The SAP Specialist designs, creates, and maintains the systems for monitoring and calculating plant production, inventory levels of finished product/raw materials, and raw material consumption for tracking and reporting. The SAP Specialist works closely with Operations, Finance, S&OP, and Distribution. Will provide support during internal and external auditing. This is a salaried non-exempt day shift position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical education and/or degree are preferred
  • At least three years of experience in raw materials, plant capability, quality, and inventory requirements preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent computer skills (SAP and Microsoft Office)
  • Possess an understanding of the relationships between Production Planning, Sales and Distribution, and Materials Management in SAP modules

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and maintain all plant files used for production, inventories, and raw material consumption. This includes excel formulas, and VBA programming
  • Provide the finance group with accurate accounting of controllable cost information for each month
  • Provide information or support for any plant audits
  • Provide accurate data for month end closings to the financial group
  • Create monthly process orders and maintain and modify production recipes in SAP on a yearly or more frequent basis
  • Provide training and contribute to the skill development of the complex operations personnel related to SAP Production modules or Visitrack system
  • Conduct the necessary transactions in SAP to limit variances between Physical inventories, production, and consumption to SAP
  • Work closely with Operations and Finance to achieve yearly plant budgets for raw material usages, recipes, and production volumes
  • Check for accuracy in daily plant files used to obtain production volumes, inventory levels, and raw material consumptions
  • Must be able to provide off shift support as well as the 1st of each month for close
  • Other duties as assigned
