Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant Location(s): San Diego, CA Role Summary: Seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant/Lead to support a strategic SAP ECC to SAP RISE S4 HANA Bluefield implementation project. The ideal candidate will bring deep SAP expertise across core modules and play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless end-to-end business process validation during the transformation journey.

  • Serve as the SAP functional subject matter expert across FICO modules.
  • Lead functional workstreams during integration testing in a Bluefield implementation context
  • Provide business process leadership and support the integration testing teams across business and IT
  • Review and validate integration test scenarios and data sets to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Ensureprehensive test coverage for legacy and transformed processes, including custom developments and interfaces.
  • Ability to guide testing teams with functional insights, validate scenarios, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate representation of legacy and transformed processes.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure functional integrity of solutions.
  • Support defect analysis and resolution by providing functional insights and working with technical teams (Basis, ABAP, PI/PO, Data Migration, Analytics)
  • Assist in regression testing and UAT by clarifying functional requirements and expected oues.
  • Contribute to cutover planning and post-go-live support by identifying functional dependencies and readiness checkpoints.
  • 6-8 years of SAP Hands on functional experience in SAP core modules like FI and CO with experience on S/4HANA/RISE platforms.
  • Proven experience in Bluefield SAP S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration points and cross-module dependencies.
  • Functional knowledge on financial accounting and Controlling (Record to Report) process.
  • Familiarity with SAP PI/PO or other middleware platforms to support functional understanding of system integrations.
  • Strong understanding of HANA, Fiori, BTP, and access control frameworks.
  • Excellentmunication and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Utilities Domain (IS-U) knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP BW/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and validation is good to have.
